Use Recall with Claude

Prerequisites

• Claude web or desktop with MCP support enabled.

1. 1) Add a custom connector

   Open claude.ai/settings/connectors and click Add Custom Connector.

   • Name: Recall Notes
   • MCP Endpoint: https://mcp.recallnotes.io/mcp

   Click Add to create the connection.

2. 2) Connect & authorize

   On the new connector, click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Recall—sign in or sign up, then click Allow access. The tab closes and Claude returns with the connector ready.

3. 3) Configure permissions

   Click Configure on the Recall Notes connector and enable the tool permissions you want (save, search, update). Save your changes.

4. 4) Test Recall in Claude

   Try prompts like:

   • “Save this summary to Recall.”
   • “Fetch my Recall note about the launch plan.”
   • “Search Recall for onboarding notes.”
   • “Update that Recall note about pricing.”

   You should see Claude call Recall and return or update the memory without errors.

What to expect after setup

• Recall Notes appears in Claude’s MCP tool list.
• Claude can save new notes, search your Recall history, and pull them into new chats.
• You stay signed in until you disconnect the server inside Claude settings.

Test it

Ask Claude any of these to confirm the connection:

1. “Save this summary to Recall.”
2. “Search Recall for project kickoff.”
3. “Bring in my note about onboarding.”

Claude should reply that it contacted Recall and show what it saved or found.
